*this was a painting that I had in the art show last night. There was a movie theme and I chose to do Big Fish. I have a lot of work to do when it comes to caricatures, but this was a decent start, I felt. We all had a great time and the show was a success I'd say overall. "Hallowe'en Poutine"

*I figure that in Quebec, Hallowe'en is celebrated by giving away poutine rather than candy. Little Miss Muffet isn't so happy as she's eating her curds and whey when spiderman comes to steal it from her.

"Piece of Cake"

*this was the tale of Jack and Jill and their fateful climb up the hill.

*The art show was great. It was awesome to see a bunch of really awesome friends and artists have their stuff up. So much fun. Kudos to Kyle Marshall for putting it all together. Each of these digital paintings were being sold for $150 and they come on an 11"x14" canvas. If interested just let me know. Fun show though...was super happy to be a part of this really talented squad.

Hey everyone. I hope a lot of you are going to the Ottawa Animation Festival this year. During the festival, a bunch of us will be having an art show. There's a pile of awesome artists showing their stuff under a Nursery Rhyme theme. It should be really interesting. It takes place at Oz Kafe on Elgin st. 9pm Thursay, Oct. 21. Come check it out if you can. I have a piece in there as well and I think everyone is selling their stuff too. Come on down for some good times.

I call this painting, "Lumberjeezy and Byaaaavurrr"
It's a story about a lumberjack and his friend, Byaaaavurrr (a one eyed beaver) cuttin' some waves. I painted it on a painted birch tree backdrop that I painted with digital paint. Just felt like letting loose and making little sense in the process.

The idea of these was to draw a semi real person then try and caricaturize it somehow. The character is supposed to be tall and attractive to some degree with some traits of a more european style of drawing. I don't know if I did them right, but it was fun to give it a shot anyways. I'm not quite so good with the real-ish stuff yet.

Sophia's first birthday gift

I made this for my daughter's first birthday this September 3rd. I don't know that there's much of a story to it other than to commemorate my feelings of her. I sense that she is close to the earth and nature in general as in some way I feel that she was born from the earth to begin. I feel that she will grow close to nature as well and I hope I can guide her to be as free as this painting shows. It's fun doing things like this especially for those that you love.

These are some of the concepts for the Jimmy Swift Band's video for, "Turnaround" that for the most part I did. There are a few concepts that some of other wonderfully talented artists worked on in this video as well. I was truly proud of the outcome and it was loads of fun to do. The two concept paintings on the top left of the first page belong to a Mr. David Sourwine. He is one of the best painters that I've had the pleasure to work with and you should definitely check out his work. The "Jimmy Swift Band" and "Execubots - the Maltese Lug Nut" posters are completely his ideas and are painted extraordinarily as well.

The second picture here has a lot more backgrounds. I love doing backgrounds and figuring out colours as well. My good friends Ian Westoby and Justin Nieuwland had their hands on a few of these bg's as well. Justin, Ian and I worked on the one to the upper left and Ian painted the small one of the shanty town in the middle. Beautiful work all around and I had a lot of fun conceptualizing the other ones. Fun playing with colour again.

Last but not least...here's a few of the many pages of concept work from Spesh K's, "Knockin' Em Down" video. That was a lot of fun to work on because the idea of Mike Tyson Punchout really brought back some cool memories. The whole Punchout idea came from Spesh and we did our best here to rocket with it. I had a great time drawing up ideas for this video and we all had a great time putting it together.

A painting for my little girl, Sophia Lily

This is a painting I did for both my wonderful daughter, Sophia and my wonderful girlfriend, Maggie. I did the painting shortly after Sophia was born. The painting was inspired by a gift that we received from our friends, Sarah and Jessy which was a cute yellow spring dress for Sophia. To us, Sophia is our Faerie Princess so I painted this for her.
